
Leaving behind a legacy
When we first discussed the mural at Ms. Alaina’s class the students had two requests, they wanted a beautiful mural and to leave their mark. Before they knew what legacy they wanted to leave behind we had to go backwards first. We discussed their early years, COVID-19, remote learning, their present and finally the future. The long wall naturally pushed for a sequence style mural, three big moments were picked with the remainder of the space left for symbols relevant to the school and student body.
